On the positive side, the packaging of the flashlight was nice, showing a plastic case that had a clip on each end and one on one side that held it closed. The case had inside grey foam to protect the flashlight and the accessories. The combo consists of a 18650 rechargeable battery, a holster, an extension tube, and a charger. The construction looks sturdy and the LEDs work properly.

Even though the product performs mostly as expected,  the unreliable work of the modes it was disappointing. For example, there were times that it would skip a mode completely without working at all. Also sometimes you should click several times to make it work.

This 2000 lumen flashlight is the same that the 1200 lumen but more potent.

The bottom line is that the flashlight is powerful, but the product quality is not consistent, and for this range of price, you can get better value.

We have to say that the light output of “The Beast” is really powerful. However, the runtime is not great. We would say that if you use it in full mode the charge will last about an hour, which makes it somehow unpractical for people that don’t like to charge the battery too often.

The flashlight comes in 2 versions, the one which uses disposable batteries, and the rechargeable that cost about twice the aforementioned.

Talking about quality, both flashlights are excellent but of course, you should pay some extra dollars for the rechargeable one. The batteries that the flashlight uses are expensive, and as we have said before, they only last about an hour using the brightest mode. So again is a trade-off, or you spend the extra dollars in the rechargeable version or spend them on batteries.

We really think that the light is a great deal for the price. It comes with 4 modes that activate by only pressing the switch. The Imalent DM35 works through all 4 modes from the lowest level of brightness up to the highest, which is really strong. The 2 special modes of strobe and turbo are active when you press 2 times for turbo and 2 more times for strobe after turbo mode.

High mode is very bright, so is not necessary to use the turbo mode for a long time (it gets hot quite quickly) .

Talking about the accessories, in our opinion the holster is good, but the clip could be better. The USB cable that is included is also is good and the battery is the best of the package since it is bigger and better than the usual 18650 that these kinds of flashlights use.
